With the recent announcement of the rescheduling the first season of the National Gridiron League until October 2017, fans are asking the question regarding tickets already purchased for one of the 14 fixtures.
AussieFaithful can confirm full refunds on tickets will be issued for all games purchased as per the Ticketek and Ticketmaster policy on refunds and exchanges.
Ticketek refund policy
Refunds, exchanges and replacements
1. Ticketek will only offer a refund or exchange of a ticket if an event is cancelled, rescheduled or significantly relocated by the Seller (and you cannot or do not wish to attend the rescheduled or relocated event), or to the extent otherwise required by law (including the Australian Consumer Law). You must apply for a refund within a reasonable time. Ticketek does not offer refunds or exchanges as a result of a change in your personal circumstances.
2. If an event is cancelled, rescheduled or significantly relocated by the Seller, all liability is limited to the amount for which the ticket was purchased (including any fees or charges). Proof of purchase may be required for any refund or exchange. Unless required by law (including the Australian Consumer Law), neither Ticketek nor the Seller will be liable for any other losses incurred by you as a result of the cancellation, rescheduling or relocation of an event, including any travel and accommodation expenses.
3. Ticketek will only replace lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed tickets if the authenticity of the ticket can be verified, including proof of purchase, and if you give reasonable notice before the event. Ticketek may charge a reasonable fee for the replacement of tickets. Ticketek may not replace tickets where seating is unallocated (general admission tickets).
Ticketmaster refund policy
Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the Presenter due to weather conditions or other situations which may affect the performers, staff or audience. If an event is cancelled, please contact Ticketmaster for information on receiving a refund. Unless indicated otherwise in relation to a particular event, if an event is cancelled or rescheduled, ticket purchasers will be offered seats at any rescheduled event up to the face value of the original tickets or, if the ticket purchaser is unable to attend the rescheduled event or the event is not rescheduled, a refund. Refunds for tickets purchased prior to the date of the original event will be given up to the amount paid for the tickets (including per transaction handling fees) but will normally exclude any delivery fees paid in respect of the tickets.
As the season has been rescheduled by 12 months, this will fall under the “rescheduled significantly” clause and full refunds will be issued.
Tickets can be re-purchased for the 2017 season closer to the new October date.
With the NGL plan to increase the scope of the league off the back of new investment sources a lot can change between now and the new start date .
We see this as a great opportunity to improve and produce a far superior product. – NGL General Manager Marcin Soluch
